Medical Rescue

Help our community welcome people in medical crisis and take care of their needs.

All mitzvot are special, but some have particularly unique qualities. The Talmud tells us that welcoming guests and visiting and assisting the sick are acts of kindness for which “a person enjoys the fruits in this world, and the principal endures in the World to Come….” (Shabbat 127a and 127b)

Today, our community is called upon to partner in a project of tremendous importance, fulfilling the mitzvot of Hachnassat Orchim (welcoming guests) and Bikkur Cholim (taking care of the sick) at a universal level.

We are halfway to fully funding and completing a construction project in Palo Alto that will allow us to provide a permanent space to host the numerous families who come to our community every year for lifesaving medical treatment.

The space will contain comfortable accommodations, a kosher kitchen, Jewish books, Shabbat supplies and much more. Join in this mitzvah today and help provide lifesaving relief to families trying to cope in an unfamiliar place.
